Salford City Council’s recent work with CHL has been a huge success. There was a need to revamp our smoking cessation digital platform and re-engage partners, however, the demands on the Public Health team during the Covid-19 pandemic did not allow for in-house services to dedicate the time needed to this. Alison and the team at CHL brought their expertise, whole system thinking and solution focused approach to meet our changing and growing needs.
CHL were able to deliver for us at pace, with no compromise on quality. Alison would listen to our needs and formulate a logical plan to reach an effective solution. I found Alison’s approach thorough, composed and ‘can-do’. All work was completed to a high standard and communications were proportionate and timely. I was able to trust CHL to be getting on with the task in hand and they returned excellent outcomes.
From my experience, CHL’s expertise in this field means they can deliver transformational outcomes at better value than the time it would take myself and colleagues to learn and undertake the required tasks.
I’ve found our collaboration to be a rewarding partnership and we’ll certainly be working together again. Thanks again Alison, Helen, and colleagues.

Oldham CCG, and now the Oldham Locality of NHS Greater Manchester, has worked with CHL for over two years now. They set up a commissioned service for the CCG for 24-hour palliative care pharmacy provision during the first wave of the Covid pandemic and this remained commissioned until the summer of 2021. Their professionalism in approach and the results obtained meant the commissioning was straightforward and achieved everything that was asked of it. The Oldham Locality of NHS Greater Manchester values this relationship with CHL and we look forward to working with community pharmacies through CHL in the future.
Living Well Rochdale, Big Life Group: 24th August 2022
Living Well works with CHL to deliver the Rochdale borough smoking cessation service through local pharmacies. When I took over as manager of the stop smoking service, I had limited information on how CHL had previously been involved in this service, and Alison and Helen had been involved in setting up this process. They were both invaluable in providing me with the information and support to enable me to continue to run and develop the service. Their knowledge, expertise, can-do attitude, and positive, caring approach they both have is a credit to them. I did and still do to this day, continue to ask them lots of questions and they are always helpful, supportive and respond quickly.
I really do not know what I would have done without the help and support of Alison and Helen over the past 12 months and cannot thank them enough for all their help and support. It has been and continues to be a pleasure to work with them both.

NHSE&I had commissioned CPGM Healthcare to support the Pharmacy Integration Fund NHS Smoking Cessation Transfer of Care pilot service in the Oldham area.
It was great to work with someone with such knowledge and expertise. The invaluable contribution was efficiently delivered, and Alison was fully committed and always available to answer any queries and to support with the direction of the project. It has been a pleasure to work with Alison on this.
